"A Sure Way to fail without a curse is to apply excuse in your daily life" -Ekero Utuk
▪I'm too fat,
▪I'm too busy,
▪I'm not smart enough,
▪What will people say?
▪They said it doesn't work.
▪That's not my calling.
▪My parents were poor or am from a poor background.
▪It's too risky.
▪I just can't.
▪I don't have capital.
▪That's how it has always been.
The list is endless. If you're in this category. Here is an altar call of repentance for you.
Unless you're telling someone "EXCUSE ME". If all you do is to find excuses why things don't and won't work, then you're a fool with an offensive odour that deters success without notice.
You can't be an excuse-giver and be awarded.
The beginning of excuses is an indication of frustration, stagnation, demotion, and possibly destruction.
Those who give excuses are being excused from something tangible. That's what happened in the parable of talents.
Excuses are found on the lips of failures. It is only those who are ready to fail that will give excuses. Imagine if Albert Einstein gave excuse why his light experiment did not work. Okay, consider men like Dr. Ben Carson, Martin Luther, Jonathan Edwards, Chris Kwakpovwe, Nelson Mandela, John Calvin, Micheal Faraday, Joshua, Caleb, Nehemiah etc. If they were giving excuses, would they have made any impact in their generation?
I really don't have an advice for you. Life is about choice my dear. But if you choose a lifestyle of giving excuses, what happened in Matthew 25:14-30 and Luke 19:11-27 will be your story. Remeber the story of the Jews, when Esther tried to give Mordecai excuses? (See Esther 4:10-12)
Excuses births:
-procrastinaion.
-fear of failure and even failure.
-low self-esteem.
-lack of confidence.
-self pity.
When you fight excuses, all these attribute finds their selves out of your domain.
Your destiny is who you have decided to become. Stop excuses now or excuses will stop you sooner or later.
May you never be excluded from opportunities and favour today just because of excuses.
